Venue partner guide

What setting up actually involves.

About ten minutes to sign up, then verification, then requests. This page is the practical side of joining the roster — the sequence, what we check and why, and what separates an offer that wins from one that gets skipped.

The sequence

After you register, in order.

  1. Confirm your email

    Immediate

A confirmation note arrives the moment you finish signing up. Click the link inside it. If it hasn't appeared, check your spam folder or use the resend control on the verification page.

    Yours to do

  2. Complete your profile

    About ten minutes

A description of the space running at least 50 characters, at least three photos, your seated capacity, your starting price, your legal business name, and the signed Platform Agreement. That list is the whole bar.

    Yours to do

  3. Verification clears itself

The moment the last field lands

There is no queue and no reviewer to wait on — the moment your profile meets the bar above, your account verifies itself and matched requests start appearing in your dashboard. Our team still reviews venues after the fact and will reach out if something needs correcting. Setup you finished before your area opened is kept as it was.

    Automatic

  4. Read requests, answer the ones that fit

    Ongoing

Each request carries the date, guest count, budget, setting, and must-haves before you decide whether to answer. There is no quota and no penalty for passing.

Verification

Four things we check, and why.

Couples are handing us one of the largest days of their lives. Every venue on the roster clears the same four checks before a single request reaches it — which is precisely what makes the badge next to your name worth carrying.

Business registration

Your legal business name and EIN, confirmed against public records.

Liability insurance

Active cover, at the level any event venue already carries.

The venue itself

A physical address and a real, operating event space — which is what keeps invented listings off the roster.

Profile accuracy

Capacity, pricing, amenities, and venue type read against how the room actually operates.

What you pay for

One rate, and this is what it buys.

Nothing is owed until a couple books and pays. Stripe processing is inside the commission rate rather than billed alongside it, so the percentage you agree to is the whole platform cut.

  • Couple acquisition — advertising, search, and partnerships
  • Payment processing and escrow through Stripe Connect
  • Fit scoring, market benchmarks, and bid coaching
  • Platform infrastructure and a team that answers
  • Fraud prevention and dispute resolution
  • Booking contracts and e-signature

Writing an offer

What separates the offers couples shortlist.

Every offer arrives on the same rows, next to two or three others. These are the four things that decide which one gets read twice.

Itemise what's included

“Catering included” tells a couple nothing. Menu options, service style, and the per-person figure tell them everything — and score higher for completeness.

Answer what they actually asked for

Read the request properly. If they want a ceremony lawn and you have one, name it. Offers that address the brief outrank generic packages.

Bundle value, hold your price

Your rate card stays whole. Extended hours, an upgraded bar, vendor credits — the value you already hold is what wins the date.

Answer early

Couples begin reading and shortlisting as soon as the first offers land. Being in that first read is worth more than a polished late entry.

Questions

Short answers on fees, timing, and payouts.

Nothing to register, list, browse, or bid. You pay commission only after a couple books and pays through Bidwell. Lose the bid? Still $0.
